Rami is the Managing Partner of Ororus Advisors and heads the Financial Services, Financial Restructuring & Insolvency, Tech Transactions, and Arbitration Groups.
He regularly advises on new technologies disrupting traditional business models. His experience involves technology transfer, major cloud and IoT deals, complex software licensing arrangements and providing solutions tailor made for disruptive technologies such as 5G, blockchain, robotic process automation and artificial intelligence.
Rami offers specific technical, industry knowledge expertise in the Digital and Technology Sectors with a particular focus on digital transformation and the interplay between law and technology. He previously combined his legal knowledge and entrepreneurial skills to found Lexyom, a legal tech startup.
Rami also benefits from his experience on Wall Street to advise on ISDA agreements and other complex financial instruments. He has an impressive record of achieving successful outcomes in insolvency and financial restructuring matters ranging from large multi-national cases to significant regional businesses. He remains deeply involved in Commercial Arbitration and represents clients under the rules of the world’s leading arbitral institutions (ICC, LCIA, AAA/ICDR, CIETAC, ICSID, WIPO) and in ad hoc arbitrations (UNCITRAL).
Rami worked previously with Cadwalader Wickersham and Taft LLP in New York and served as legal counsel for the Lebanon Permanent Mission to the United Nations during that same period. Rami is a certified mediator, holds two LLMs in Corporate and Financial Services Law from New York Law School and is a member of the Beirut Bar Association and the New York Bar.
